Who knows how to speak maori? Well I've been learning and here is my screencastify about it.

W.A.L.T increase our Te Reo Maori vocabulary. I found pronouncing the Maori words the hardest and what I found easy was making my screencastify.

Who recycles? Its actually good to because there are several reasons why we should start recycling.

WALT use linking phrases between paragraphs to support the development of the text. I am trying to persuade my readers to start recycling because there are several reasons why we need to start recycling because most of our rubbish goes to the landfill. What I found hard was coming up with my ideas and research facts.
I believe that the world is piling up with rubbish. We are ruining the environment. I think it needs to stop right now! Many people are still throwing away all of their rubbish but why? Why would they do that when they can actually recycle their rubbish.
My question is Why don’t people just use the three R’s reuse reduce recycle. I’d rather reduce our rubbish in the world than just letting it increase. It’s just not precise how everyone throws all their rubbish in the landfill instead of recycling it. Don’t deny it we all do it.

One the other hand I think not recycling is wrong because the world could end up being polluted or even worse there would be rubbish scattered everywhere on the ground. That is appalling. For your information I  don’t want that to happen. I found out that whenever rubbish gets into the sea water it forms a monstrous ball of rubbish that goes right down to the bottom of the sea.

Furthermore, I think we should be responsible for our rubbish landfill rather than burning our rubbish at home because I researched and I found out that all of the smoke caused from fires get sent into the sky and space and forms a bigger hole in the ozone layer. I would be a part of the solution, not the pollution. Plus when  I discovered that the Great Pacific garbage patch, also described as the Pacific trash vortex, is a gyre of marine debris particles in the central North Pacific Ocean discovered between 1985 and 1988.

In summary I think we should start recycling because it is important and we should start reducing the amounts of rubbish we throw in the dump.

The question quiz

This is my presentation about Argo floats.
I found getting the information  hard.
But what I found hard was coming up with questions.
I think I was successful because I was able to find information that suited my question.
My next step is to be more creative a try find a way to make my presentation interesting.

Ripping tags. #SPORTY.

Today Rangimarie and I have been learning how to promote our viewers and encourage them to play rippa rugby.

We have made a sensational movie to show our viewers our trailer and to encourage them to try rippa rugby.
Our next step is to try and make the text slow down so our viewers can read it properly.

I found making the video easy.
But making the adjustments to make the video perfect was hard.

have you ever used a waka hoe values?

WALT think about creative ways to promote and teach our values.

have been learning how to use the hoe Manaakitanga. I made a DLO about using the hoe Manaakitannga.

Uploading the videos was very disturbing because it took long.
The app I used was Kizoa. I think I was successful because I was able to put music and pictures on my learning DLO. Sorry I could not download my movie but here is a link to go to my movie. Click below to watch my movie.

My next step is I will try to download my movie so I can post my movie properly.

The Waitangi Adventure.

I have been learning how to share what I learnt on our Waitangi Treaty Ground trips in a creative way. I think I was successful because I made a movie with photos and music. I used kizoa app. Check it out at the bottom of my post!

Friday 10th February Tautoro School went on a trip to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

The four places we visited were:
1.Flag stuff
2.Marae
3.Treaty house
4.waka house

Some interesting things that I learnt were
The Treaty of Waitangi was signed in the grounds of James Busby's house in Waitangi, in the Bay of Islands. It was signed on February 6th 1840.
It was signed by 500 Maori Chiefs and the British Leaders representing the British Crown.
The part of the trip I enjoyed the most was
Museum because it had so much wonderful facts and info in it.
 Here is my waitangi video.
