Coding with grids

WALT: Create a basic grid using Scratch Jr.
SC: I will

  • Create arrows to be the game controllers
  • Add code to each arrow to make it move in each direction
  • Add and code a character
  • Take screenshots of each character code
  • Create a screencast of my finished product

Today whaea Tania visited us! Today we were coding mazes. The objective of this task was to make the cat get the the cake. I enjoyed this task because it was challenging to get the character's correct grid information but I completed it in the end and that was a great experience. Below are some pictures of the information you need to make your character move.To add to this, unfortunately my screencastify for scratch - Jr is not able to work at this moment. Due to this caution.... Enjoy the pictures😂

  1. Tehanah, I wonder....are you able to do a screencast of you showing what your game looks like live? This looks great, and I love how we can see the code you used, so that someone new to scratch might want to give it a go.
I especially like how you persevered, and made sure you completed this task.
    Nga mihi
    Na Whaea Gaylene
